About This College

About Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute - Los Angeles

The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute (LSTFI) Los Angeles campus is located at 7936 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, California, in the heart of the entertainment industry. Founded in 1969 as the home for Lee Strasberg's private class when he came to work with his students in Hollywood, the campus has grown into a full acting conservatory offering programs ranging from two-week intensives to a two-year conservatory and an Associate of Occupational Studies degree. The institute is SEVP-certified and issues I-20 documents for F-1 visa students enrolled in qualifying programs. Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute does not provide on-campus housing. International students arrange their own accommodations in the Los Angeles area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer homestay for Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute Los Angeles students?

Yes. USH offers homestay accommodation for international students enrolled at the LSTFI Los Angeles campus, including students in the conservatory programs, intensive programs, and the Associate degree program. Contact us to check availability near the West Hollywood campus.

Does Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute provide on-campus housing?

No. LSTFI does not offer on-campus dormitories or institute-managed housing at its Los Angeles campus. International students are responsible for arranging their own accommodations in the area. Homestay is one of the most practical options, providing a furnished private room, meals, Wi-Fi, and utilities all in one flat monthly rate, with no lease or long-term commitment required.

Is homestay a good fit for acting students new to Los Angeles?

Yes. Moving to Los Angeles to study at one of the world's most respected acting institutions is an exciting but demanding step. West Hollywood is one of the most dynamic and fast-paced neighborhoods in the city, and navigating it while beginning an intensive conservatory program can be overwhelming. Homestay gives you a settled and supportive home environment from day one, so you can arrive focused on your craft rather than on finding housing in an unfamiliar city.

How long can I stay?

Stays start at a minimum of 4 weeks and can be extended to match the length of your program. Whether you are enrolled in a short intensive or a full conservatory program, flexible options are available with no long-term lease required.
